Dear Family and Friends,
The time is finally drawing near to have our long-awaited wedding!
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to fill in the RSVP form and letting us know whether you'd like to attend, or watch from home. We're using intelligence available (my brother...) to help us think of the best possible way to stream the wedding for all our distance guests, preferably with as little buffering as possible.
Throughout the last few months, the mother and mother-in-law were working vigilantly while Mike and I were in Vietnam. Coming back, we had a slight hiccup with COVID restrictions and enforcement of reduced numbers. Luckily, The Beehive recently changed ownership and has opened their doors to being an event venue - they will be able to allow the full number of guests by opening their doors and becoming a semi-outdoor venue.
Notes on venue: (1) The wedding itself will take place outdoors, so please bring something warm for in-case. Temperatures drop quite quickly in the evening - please ensure you have a little blanket, jacket, socks, slippers, scarf... if needed. (2) The Beehive is a campsite which the new owners have recently renovated! It has great communal bathroom facilities and plenty of electricity points. Since Friday is a public holiday, why not make it a fun camping trip for two nights? See the Accommodation page for pictures.
During our time in Vietnam we missed home - nature and South African culture, but more than anything, we missed our family and friends. We are very excited to have you join us for this special day. Thank you for waiting the extra 14 months with us.
Lots of love, from Melissa and Mike.
If you are uncertain whether you selected online or in-person, please send me a message and I'll remind you asap.
